November

I was trying to look back what happened in Novemeber by going through conversation, facebook status and photos realizing that periode of time was quite quiet. Some bigger assigments deadlines were giving pressure.

Being a tourism student studying in the Faculty of Economics was not my brightest idea. I love the school and people in there but the classes have not been so easy for me. Professors are constantly refearing past courses: "you learned all this things at marketing class so we are not going through them" Super! Speaking with language I dont't understand. At lectures I'm taking notes like a crazy person, writing down as many examples I can and try to get hook on the topic. Writing assigments are even harder. I have never been a writer, it's easy to write about your own thought and funny stuff but when you have to get serious and write formal text I feel like a nine year old writing something in english for the first time. I like dogs. I have to be thankful for my great groups who I have been working with. Pushing me and supporting me on our projects. I have no idea what would I have done without them.

Luckily exchange is not all about school and studying but we have done fun stuff aswell.

Felu Tutors - 2nd International Drinking Games

Oh my, to be honest I don't remember this night so well! As you can see from thw title the drinking game night was organized by our dear tutors and held in Topniska dorms basement. It was a compotition between 5 teams. Groups where 5 exchange students all from different countries and at least 2 had to be girls. I was too late to apply and never made to any teams but we decided to go cheer on our favorite team: 5 warriors of eternal drinking. I love our tutors but this event wasn't really working out. Drinking games were supposed to start at 9pm but in reality they actually started around 9.45 or so. The basement was tiny, filled with exchange students, everyone babbeling so the volume level rose high very quickly. No one could hear or see anything and it wasn't that much fun to follow from the side. So we decided to give in trying to figure our what the games were about and started drinking by ourselves. Me and Julia, my dear dear german sister had bought earlier that day two bottles of wine(2l=bad idea) by the drinking game started we had already drank most of the first bottle. We made up our own drinking game. You just need one partner and a bottle of wine. One start drinking and the other one counts 3 and you have to continue drinking the whole time. We did that for none stop for couple rounds. After we got bored with following official drinking games we gathered a group around us and started playing: "I have never..."-drinking game. Lets releave all our secrets. We were drinking with Julia almost all the time. We couldn't stop laughing or drinking. This equals poor Ella getting sick with the amount of wine, oh dear...we ended up going home with Julia hammered as hell before 12pm. Dasha and Sasha were at home waiting for me: I don't remember our wise conversations. I was drunk. Which was a shame cause everybody told me it was a good night in Companieros, or at least everyone were so hammered that it felt good.

Martin Garrex

I had seen these posters over a month not quite able to connect who this guy was. It is him:

He had a gig at Cevtlicarna one friday night and Anja my swedish friend join me there with one of our tutors Zala. Zala was awesome and got the tickets for us which were only 20€. The place was pretty cool and I had not been there before. Dasha told me that they mostly have gigs and live music there and sometimes some very cool parties aswell. The music was so goood. The had 3 different DJ:s before Garrex: Shift, Vanillaz and JKR, none of them were familiar to me. I especially enjoyed Vanillaz set.
I got really annoyed with people that night. Everytime I walked somewhere there were one or two different guys stopped me and said something in slovenian. Politly I replied everytime: "sorry I don't speak slovenian" and got on to my way. I wasn't in the mood of meeting new people. At the end of the night I was so full of people trying to me that I just yelled one random guy "En mä vittu puhu sloveniaa!"(I don't fucking speak slovenian!) and left him with confused face expression. Sorry for being a bitch...

Franzie's Bday Bash

The birthday party of the year for sure!;) Me, Julia, Ramona, Carolin, Jean and Zemra put heads together and bought her super duber bday gift. We are all on slovenian language group(expect Zemra) and we bought an awesome slovenian kids photo book, some chocolate and handmade card. I toke all my creativity to make that card and took me couple days. So you better love it Franzi! I didn't take a photo of it but this gives you an idea what I'm working on.

Hahhhah yep this photo is epic and I have no idea whos idea it was to play slapping game me or Phillipp. We are just idiotes! Thanks Coralin for awesome photo!

The night coninued to Top 6 where we were supposed to have names on our list but when we got there, there was some comlications. Half of the people were allwed to enter and the other half(me included) had to pay 5e. This was fine for me but the guys decided to skip. That was one confusing enterens tho.
Doorman: Are you on the list?
Me: Yes, we are with Phillipp.
Doorman: You can go in.
Walking to the elevater and got stopped by security guy.
Securityguy: What are you doing?!
Me: Going inside? We are on the list.
Securityguy: No you go there!
And pointed me to go to the counter.
Me: Hi, we were supposed to pay here?
Lady: Are you on the list?
Me: Yea, with Phillipp.
Lady: Okey, you can go.
Make up your freaking mind will you! So we didn't end up paying anything.

Top was real cool aswell. It's located right in the center on the top of the building. Almost like Tiger in Helsinki. Drinks were okey price, music was actually quite nice and the place was full. Most of the time we were on the dancefloor. Around 3am or so Phillipp came to me on dancefloorand told me are leaving. I was starving so we got some kebab toke the bikes and started biking to F-club. Phillipp had heard good things about the place and it was dub-step night so we went to check it out. Since we were not comleatly sober either one was Phillipp fell with his bike on side walk. My first reaction was booming laugh and the second thought: maybe he is hurt. All good and jorney coninued on. I don't really remember anyything on our bike to F-club. you should not actually bike drunk since its really for bitten in slovenian8and I guess in other countries aswell) and you can get one fat fine if you get cought. We were fine. I don't remember if we had to pay some enterness fee. The place was half empty but the music was really good. But since Mr. Phillipp didn't like it he wanted to leave. That guy is the pushiest person I know and its really not worth to try to fight with him. Especially if he is drunk. So we continued to Metelkova which was compleatly waste of time since it was already 5am or something and no club would let us in. No suprise tho. So that was the end for our adventure and we got our own taxis and went home. Got to love our adventures tho Phillipp. I have had his blood on my bag ever since!

Foosball Tournament!

Sometime you have to do something comleatly random and go with the flow. Me who has never cared about table football toke part on this kind event one wednesday evening with some of my best erasmus friends. Turned out to be one cool as night. I was partner with Arthur a french guy and he was a great coach. The whole table was shaking when I played :p And we were not half bad! But its all thanks to Arthur, I can't take any credit for that.

After the games the night continued 'lets get waisted on wednesday night' with Florian, Henrique and Marin and we headed to KMS-Klub for Maribu Students. Not the easiest to find but we had Henriques smart phone which should us the way. The night included a lot of tequile and dancing.

I guess that was that, this will be my last post from 2013. Now the cottage is calling me with some awesome friends. Let there be a lot of Lonkero, wine and Mint vodka! I wish you all happy happy new year and I will see you guys next year!

Here we come 2014!

Love Ella

Poslovilna lepa cimra

It was just like any other Monday evening. I was about to go to Tivoli park with my Erasmus friends and play some silly drinking games when Sasha came to my room.
Sasha: Are you leaving?
Ella: I'm going to Tivoli park with some Erasmus people?
Sasha: When are you coming back?
Ella: I don't know yet it depends on. Why?
Sasha: I need to talk to you and Dasha.
She had good and bad news. She had gotten internship from Warsow which she applied for last summer, the one she really really wanted. This was a great news! Bad news was that the internship started in one week! It was a huge bom and really came out of the blue. She was going to leave on Friday. In 5 days! I was shocked and could not wrap my head around it it...

The rest of the week was really weird. Sasha was busy getting things together and getting ready for moving out on Friday. We had tea the last time and played Tarok us three for the last time. It was so weird! On Thursday we had Sasha's farewell party and Nika's graduation party.

The thought about Sasha leaving was horrible. We were really a small family. Sasha was definately the mother. Taking care of the cat and making sure Dasha had eaten something. Such a sweet person who was always there if you had something on your sholders. I was really really going to miss her. And the thought someone else moving in her room made me just angry. No way I wanted a new stranger there. I wanted her to stay!

We bought a small farewell gift for her: photo of us three, chocolate and tarok cards. Sasha also had a small gift for us. Mine was a USB stick which was absolutely perfect! I had borrowed hers for several weeks now... We drove her to the train station and I could not held back my tears when we were standing outside of the train, waveing for Sash. Dasha laughed at me and gave me a hug. The house would be so quiet without Sasha.

Sasha, Dasha and I on Halloween pre party
This is part of the experience: meeting new people and saying goodbye for them. But I know we will meet again in the future. Home has been very different without you Sasha! xx

Let's have a Halloween party at castle!

This is extreamly embarrasing that I have not been able to update my blog in such a long LONG time... end of the semester was crazy. School and crazy erasmus life has taken all my free time and leaving no time for hobbies such as writing a blog. I'll update the best I can about the things I have done and please I have been. Not the same to write about this stuff months later tho...

Lets go back in time 2 months ago: Halloween! My top favorite holiday of the year. There is no other opportunity get crazy dressed up and go out with you friends. And we got the tickets for best Halloween party in town: Heaven n Hell Halloween party organized by Faculty of Economics and Law. The best part was that the party was held at the Ljubljana castle! How many times can you say that I had a Halloween party at THE castle. Never really! I was thrilled.

As I mentioned Halloween is close to my heart and I try to get costume ideas thought whole year to make it easier for me to decide when the actual date is there. I changed my costume idea several times. First I decided to be an angel since it is appropriate for the theme but Halloween season didn't sell so much heavenly stuff I changed my mind to be a skeleton.

Inspiration vol.1

Final outcome

Yey yea! It was so much fun to pain this stuff on my face. Night before I practised it a little but basecally I just made it for the first time and prayed the final result would look some how cool. And I was so happy about it. Anja was also a sceleton a little different kind but still and she looked so awesome aswell. The best part was when I painted my hand. I had a real sceleton hand photo on my laptop and I just copied on to my hand.

In some reason blogger is fucking up with my photos and they look different here than in reality. But you get the idea.

Any how it toke my FOREVER to get this all pained out and gave me only a little time for predrinking. I felt a little bad for Tuomas since he was stuck with 7 girls. Lucky we are all awesome so I'm sure he was enjoying himself anyways :)

The party itself was really cool. Like I have already mentioned couple times the party was organized in the castle of Ljubljana. It was really heaven and hell at the same time. The place itself was absolutely heaven! It looked great! The walls were real rock, the lights looked really cool. Propably one of the coolest place I have ever partied. But hell was loose all over there! First of all there was a lot of people obviously which always cause the trouble. Cloakroom was very small and was located in the tiniest corridor. People were like animals trying either hang their jackets or pick them up. Lucky I didn't have to leave my jacked there since I just jammed in my bag. There was only two bars which were crowded with people and the drinks were not that cheap. At least the dancefloor had some space to dance but the music wasn't that great... pretty same old same old mainstream stuff what they play everywhere. But actually I didn't expect anything else than that kind of music. It is a student party and that is they music they play on those events. But it was alright cause in the end people are the one who makes the party anyway and we had a pretty awesome crew. And we actually dressed up! There was so few who did. It's halloween people!

My favorite moment happened on the dance floor when one random guy grapped my ass. Usually in Slovenia you can dance without anyone bothering you (except in Cirkus, god I dislike that place) but aparently this party was was no different. I ignored him first but the second or third time were too much for me and I faced him a pissed of look on my face. The guys face was priceless! His eyes wident in suprise and apologizelly raised his hands up. This make up is the best thing I have worn in a while! I should wear this more often. So girls if you want dance in peace, just paint your face as a dead person, I assure you no one will try to hit on you!

Naturally after partying the whole night we had to get some hangover burek and the sales person almost had an heart attack when he saw me. I had already forgotten that I didn't quite look like a every other girl. Poor man.

Not everyone were as happy about the party as I was. One guy posted on our Erasmus Ljubljana 2013/14 group an angry comment. I just had to laugh about it:

WORST! WORST! WORST! Party in my life. The one in the CASTLE, Helloween party there, tonight - 31.10.2013. DJs should be killed. They don't deserve to play music ever again in their miserable life! WORST PARTY IN MY LIFE.

It was awful - super crowded, at the entrance it was like a herd of mad, drunk animals were let free... inside the music was idiotic, boring, stupid. Well, to be honest it was 1 song - wop wop wop wop wop. Some house. It was obvious that 90% of the people are not having fun, not enjoying the party. They were trying to dance just because they already paid 3 (or maybe 5) euros. Somehow pretending and lying to themselves that everything is okay, when it's not. At the wardrobe was... WAR! People were fighting for... the jackets. Just to leave their jackets you know. It was like free-candy-fleemarket. Awful. Basically that was it man. Another brick in the fuckin boring-why-i-went-to-that-party-never-will-go-again wall you know. I won't go to a party where SOU has something to do with it. And no more Companieros for me. SSDD.

"Heart is beating faster and stomach full of butterflies, that can only mean one thing: Tuomas is on his way to Ljubljana♥"
-October 29th

My status on the day when Tuomas arrived to Slovenia and this was probably the happiest during my stay here in Ljubljana. Ofcourse it wasn't all roses and sunshine for us. I was too excited about showing and sharing everything about my life here that I forgot what was really important: him. It toke me the whole week to realize that it is not about how many places you see and thing you do but the person who you are spending all your time with. Just to have him here for 8 days and enjoy every second that he was by my side, was wonderful. I missed you Kupo.

Tuomas arrived really at the perfect time! We had national holiday(no school for me wohoo) and Halloween was during that week(one of my favorite party of the year). We went to Heaven and Hell Halloween party together at Ljubljana castle! Pretty awesome if you ask me. I will make own post of this awesome party. All you need to know is that everybody loved the Mint vodka bottle that Tuomas brought with him from Finland.

The week was perfectly lazy full of love and happiness. I'm sorry about my cheesiness but it was!  I hadn't been so relaxed in weeks. I showed him around the center and toke him to my favorite restaurants Joe Pena and Dabuda. Not to forget 24h burek just around the corner from my house. Burek nam...

It was also a life changing week because Dasha introduced us to new quite awesome card game Tarok. I will not even try to explane this awesome but soooo complicated card game. The only thing I am going to say that, that game is addictive. Since that week we were playing that game with Sash and Dash almost everyday!

On his last night we went to eat some Slovenian traditional food at place called something something something and the food was soo good! I think the dish was called country plate for two or something like that and it contained two different kind of sausages, pork, bacon, Slovenian mash potatoes and more. It was the worst thing was tho that I forgot to take my camera with me! I felt so alone without my Nikon. After the dinner we did what every couple who are too cute and too in love: toke our love lock and locked it to the love-lock-bridge. Makes me sad that I have no photo of this romantic moment... AND last week when I went to take a photo of our lock, I couldn't find it!? Oh shit..I need to go back there another day.

It felt quite unreal to have him here... and it was the worst when he left. I got so use to having him around and then suddenly my bed felt too big, empty and cold without him. Come back... Can't wait to see you in xmas :*

PS. I love you

THE worst day ever

This is just one those days when it feels like that everything goes wrong.

I started my day the worst way possible and toke my dear Tuomas to the aiport. After having him arond for 8 beautiful days it felt really sad to say 'see you later' again. At home there was only a empty bed waiting for me. Tuomas was on his way back to Finland and missed him already...
After watching TV-series for a while I glanced at the clock and to my horrow it was 11.55(class starts at 12). I grabbed all my stuff, inclding my laptop, and thurst everything in my bag and ran touniversity only to realize that I was there 1h too early! I still have the Finnish time on my laptop, god knows why... Naturally I was really irritated about being there so early and my bad day only contined...
Finally when my lecture actually started I sat down to "enjoy" 2h lecture when I felt familiar twist in my lower stomack. Fucking perfect: my monthly enjoyment of being a woman just started and was I prepared for it? Of course not! Suprise party, HURRAH! There I was sitting cross-legged braying for some kind of period-god that I would get help soon. Julia was my angel.
The day continud and I had no brake between classes meaning, no lunch. I was not only starving at language course but also the pain in my lower stomack was killing me. At this point everything stared feeling extra annoying(maybe my inner female Hulk had something to do with it).
I desided to award myself for survive such a sucky day(I still had no idea what was still coming up) and buy all sorts of yummy stuff such as fruits, chips, cookies[which are called keksi(plural) in slovenian=keksi(singulaer) in finnish], chocolate, ice cream and juice. Mercators counter was slow as usual. On my way home I already dreammed about my warm comfy bed, all my yummy goodies and some chick-flick-movie, perfect. Got home, opened my computer and the worst thing happened: my computer screen was broken. I couldn't held back my "NOOO!" cry out loaud and shut the computer down immidiatly. It couldn't be true. I opened my computer again only to find that it was still broken. This can not be true! All the colors on my screen were wrong and messy. My laptop was fine on the morning and also on my first class. Between language course and home I had hit it somewhere somehow and made the screen break. I was devistated and couldn't held back my tears.
I didn't even need my computer at University today. If I had only left it at home, or had more time to pack my stuff. I would have put it in my laptop-cover-bag which would have protected this fragile machine.
I'm not sure if there is anything I can do to fix it. I don't have my hopes up since I'm pretty sure there is nothing I can do about it. But if somebody knows better, please let me know.

Officially THE worst day ever.

The silverlining of this story is to have great friends and boyfriend around you who makes you feel better when everything else just fucking sucks. AND you should always have emergancy wine botterl in you closet.

You always need to stay positive and I'll try to do the same aswell. I don't need my stupid broken laptop. I have awesome roommates, friends and book that will keep me entertaned! ...But I do need to get a extra screen to do my homeworks. I won't be able to write with this pease of shit.

Let's go to the Zoo, Zoo!

Ah lazy Sunday... You can ether study or do anything but study. I naturally chose not to study. But it was suprisingly pro active day! We cleanded flat together with Dash, did the whole weeks grocery shopping and went to the Zoo!

We got to the Zoo just before start feeding the eliphant, cool! That huge animal is not only very strong but also really smart.

Lazy mother bucker!

Beutiful creature.

Thank you Dasha and Nika for animalisticly awesome day!

The Gay Hike

One of things I knew I want/have to do while being in Slovenia is to go hiking. Sebastian and Florian offered be the opportunitu to come and join them for a day trip hike to Triglav National park near lake Bohinj. Awesome! I was alprepared, I had my shoes, cloths, food and wather. Florian reminded me that we can go swimming in mountain lake so I broght my togs with me aswell. I was ready! Sebastian was resposible of the car and Florian of the hiking. At the beginning of our jorney I asked Florian if we had a map or something and what kind of route we were gonna hike. "I don't know and no we don't have a map" Well alright then, not the most promising start but never mind. Lets hope that the track is well marked. We got to our starting place where many others had same thought about Saturday hike. Some people gave us long looks and I don't blame them, not all of us fit in.

I wasn't prepred for such a great weather! I was all prepared for cold wind, rain and chill tempatre, you know typical weather for end of October. Another +18c and no clouds at all. Not the best weather to wear black-black-long-sleeve-wollen-shirt. It was blody hot! Especially when you are hiking steap as clime. It was really shocked with the lack of condition I was. I really need to start doing more sports again. But oh man I loved my hiking boots, the best thing ever.
The first part of our hike was indeed crazy. Really steap rock steps up. Almost like the ones Sam, Frodo and Golum climed in the third LOTR-movie. At least it felt like it. I got so hot that my face turned all tomato/chili red. Beutiful... Nevertheless it was all worth it, the view was great.

After our freack clime up we got to the first lake. It was only 12.30 so we decided we should keep going. unfortunately we did one wrong turn and ended up in another route: the longest detour ever!
We got to the next lake 2h later and faced a propblem. We had only 3h day light left. It toke us 4 hour to clime up where we were so there was no chance we were gonna turn around and go same way back. Not only some of us didn't have proper shoes and stuff but we didn't have any flashlight. It would have been total suecide to even think about trying to hike down the steep part in darkness. One wrong step and that would it. No freaking way. Lucky for us we ran in to some Austrian hikers who actually had a map. They should us that there was a open hut where we could stay over night 3h hike away so we would get there before dark. The only problem was that we had rented the car and we were supposed to return the same night or we would have to pay a fine and rent of the next day aswell. There was no time to think about that time and our own option was just keep hiking forward and think about our problems later.

Ou yea we went for a swim and it was great! So frecking cold but so awesome.

The thought about staying over night on the mountains was fine for me. The only thing I was missing was my tooth brush which would suck on the morning. The hut was huge! I thought it was a small cottage or something but it was a proper house! There was on restaurant/bar, place to sleep and shop where you can buy food and stuff. On a mountain! Impressive. We got to the hut around 6pm so we had about 30min daylight left. We put our jorney for vote: stay in the hut for the night or suicidal hike down the mountain in pitch black. And ofcourse we decided to hike down. We were unbelievably lucky again and ran in to two Slovenian middle-age ladies who were going down aswell. The best part was that they had flashlights. One went to the front and the other in the middle. It was crazy and scary by the time it got really dark. You couldn't see anything. I'm not sure I have told you before but there are a lot of bears in Slovenian forest and in fact Slovenia is the biggest bear exporter in Europe. Isn't that cool! Ofcourse with our luck we didn't ran into any bears but we could have. Dasha and Nika were really unhappy with our idea to hike down in darkness. Every singelyear people die on Slovenian mountains because they are trually stupid hiking without proper equipments(check), a map(check) or not to be aware of the time(check). Perfect suicidal combonition. Againts all the odds I'm here writing my blog in my bed, alive.

Back to actual hike, now starts my hippie part so forgive me Aino, you might want to skip this. The feeling you had when you were up there was just amazing. Just being close to the nature. You couldn't hear anything but your own foot steps. No cars, music or other people. You see the landscapes that you see only on posters. It was pretty breathtaking and you can't really capture on the photos. And the fact that you climed up to mountain up 1700m is for my opinion really cool. For me atleast. I'm no proficional hiker obviously so every hike is achievement itself and I'm really proud of myself. I really need keep this hobby up go other places and countries to do this. Too bad that the hiking season is pretty much over now. At least for me, I don't have equipments or courage to hike in the winter time.

Another great trip with awesome people. One of the high lights of my time in Slovenia.

Ps. If some of you wondered whats up with the title, it was just an inside joke from a youtube clip. Nothing really to do with actual hike other than we did realize that both Sebastian and Florian are gay.;)

Play hard, party hard

That's what Erasmus is all about right? Birthday parties, sports bar, bowling and karaoke. I really have start studying more, I'm having too much fun now.

A few photos from last week:

I'm not sure if I have ever worn this much makeup on my face before!

Maria's Bday Party

Yea it was a music theme party and we had Geri, Katy Perry, Amy Winhouse, Eminem, rock, hippie and so many other. Great party, awesome people and police came up. Thanks Maria, you should definately have birthdays more often!

Bowling on Thursday

Yea this was really cool! You vould buy your own beer tab. It had 3l of Union in it and it cost 13,60€ or something. When you counted it you ended up not saving more than 2€ but at least you didn't have to go to the bar all the time.

Some people continued to companieros but I didn't want to go. Theme of the night was pyjama party and I couldn't stand the thought that people would dancing in their pyjamas on the dance floor. No thank you. Phillipp joined me and we went for looking for adventures. First stop K4 cause it was the nearst club: the party was already over at 12?? Next to Top6, never been there so I was kind of excited about that but no, private party. Okey no club then lets go to a bar, there is a cool bar in the old town called capitan or something where I haven't been yet, lets go there. It was closed! I was getting fusturated but Phillipp didn't want to give up so we coniued along. With pure luck we heard music and found a small karaoke bar in the old town. It was awesome! After wine, several beers I was all ready to sing what else you can sing but Britney Spears - Hit me baby one more time! The best thing about the bar was that they had Sommersby cider! Oh my lord I haven't had one in months! And it tasted goooooood!

Yes, Friday was a hangover day and hourse riding wasn't as plesent as previous times. But the day was absolutely bautiful again! End of October and +20c. Perfect! That ment only one thing: lets go to Tivoli park.

Adventures, the sun and parents in town

I have been planning to write many times these past few days but been putting it off because my c-key won't still work and it is annoying as hell. Anyhow past weeks have been pretty much busy with just school work.

Here is some high light:

Bought posters for my room
Two weeks ago poster company filled out hall with awesome looking posters, I couldn't help myself but buy couple to my room aswell and they are awesome.

The best things happens when you are not planning to go out
This is so true! Our plan was just to go out for dinner in best restaurant scored by Tripadviser. It was a Falafel place and I got to say it was delicious. After dinner we went for a beer up to Skytower to admire beautiful night view over Ljubljana and then off to home. Or did we? On our way to busstop we got distracted with some really good House music and me and Phillipp(Austria) decided to go check it out. One of the best choises of the week. The place was called Evrope and it was in a inner yard. Hanging out dancing and meeting new people. We met the manager of the party who organized the DJ's and one local DJ who was originally from Amsterdam. The manager put our named to guest list for K4. We went there really early(after 11) and there was only 4 of us, me and Phillipp included. No biggie, bought a beer and to the dance floor. After one hour we had to start heading home simce Phillipp and classes at 8 on the morning so we left. Or did we? At the door we ran into the manager and the Dj so course we had to stay there for another beer.

Beautiful weather!
Ljubljana is treating my too well! This Fall has been unusually warm(not complaning at all!) and at the end of the week I was on my balkany pretty much wearing only my bikinies. I loved it! Summer all over again. The sun forced my to skip my 5pm International Business class and go to Tivoli Park with Julia and play some Uno. It was perfect. The next day we did the same but made more people to join us. The day was perfect again! Everyone got pissed of with my Finnish Uno rules, it was a never ending game. We also made a new Slovenian friend: 2-year old kiddou who ran a way from his parents and came to entertane us by messing with our game.

Parents in Slovenia
My folks came to Ljubljana for 5 day holiday and they loved Slovenia! First could days we stayed in Ljubljana and on Sunday we trevelled souther part of Slovenia by car and went to see Lipica hourses and Piran. Piran was absolutely beautiful, even tho we spent only less than 2h it impressed me. Very small but a lovely city. Definately going back there for a proper day trip.
It was great to see my family and show them my new home country. Time went past really quickly but after 5 days I was glad they went home. I was constantly worring over them that they had good time and enought things to do. One of the best things about parents being in town was that we went out for dinner every night in nice restaurants. Nom nom food!

Ofcourse I got some Finnish goodies from my parents! Several bags of candy, Jenkki chewing gum and home made rye bread. Yeeeey!

Metelkova
I'm addicted to this place. It is just the place to be in Ljubljana. Everynight is different and you never know what to expect, who to ran to or who are you going to meet. On the other night when I was talking with some Slovenians and they found out that I'm from Finland, the first thing they said was: do you know the website Apina(Automagic People Image Naked Archive). What?!?! On Friday I went to Metelkova for one beer. I did just drink one beer but ended up being at home at 3am. Don't know what happened. And the next day I got home from Metelkova at 6am. Good on me! So if anyone of you are coming to visit you I will take you to this place.

Life is pretty good here. I'm loving Erasmus.
