Yet again

So if this is not gonna work, I'm probably just gonna give up and never do this again. How many times have tried to keep up a diary or blog? The answer is too many times! I get excited about it, write a few things and after a while my interest just drops and well, you know what happens. BUT I'm going to start a new chapter in my life so I'm hoping this will keep me up writing. It won't only bring joy for myself but also some of my friends aswell... maybe.

Well anyway, whats up in my life to write about? I'm going for a new adventure! I'm doing my Erasmus exchange in Slovenia, Ljubljana this fall and going to spend 5 months of my life there. This is something I have been planning since my high school! After my exchange year in New Zealand back in 2008, I have been dying to go back and explore new countries and keep traveling. Slovenia was never in my plan list tho. Which bring us to new topic: why Slovenia?

It was pretty much one these random decisions really. I wanted to go somewhere different, some country which wasn't familiar to me and which is not "main stream" if I can say so. When I was going though my options where to apply it was easy to cross over the "main" European countries such as: France, Spain, Italy, Germany etc. After doing that I was kind of left with these East European countries and Slovenia was the one I chose, obviaously. I could not be happier with my decision. Not only it is a beautiful, different and interesting country but one of my friend from uni did her exchange there last spring. She has been great deal of help for me if I have had any questions about anything. Thank you Veera!

Yesterday I bought my one-way ticket to Ljubljana which made this more real than it was before. It's time for count down! 23rd of September. Only a month to go!

Ps. Yes, on the photo you can see my future home town Ljubljana.

  2. Thanks Saara! It still feels a little unreal that I'm actually going! And its not like a 2 week holiday I'm actually going to leave there for 5 months, its crazy.
